Man-made underground passage in Tullymore (ballyshannon Ed)

Located in the E half of a cashel (DG107-125----). This partly collapsed Man-made underground passage is evident on the surface as a stony, slightly sunken linear feature (L 8m E-W) extending to W into the cashel interior from the enclosing wall on the E side of the cashel. It is not clear if it also extends beneath the ruined cashel wall. At its E end, a length (L 4m E-W) of drystone-built passage with a roof of stone lintels remains largely intact but inaccessible. To W of this section, the line of the Man-made underground passage is evident only as a grassed-over, shallow surface depression (L 4m E-W; Wth 1.5m; max D 0.5m).
