What is recorded here

Scallaghbeg holds a man-made underground passage beside a probable ringfort, proving the area supported structured human life before modern memory. The cave may have served as storage, shelter or a hidden route through the landscape. Its burial under soil and forgetting does not remove the intention behind its construction.

A semi-circular platform KE036-064---- is located in the E corner of a field about 130m E of the Glannagalt river. It measures 25m SSE-NNW and 13m E-W across its upper surface and is raised c. 0.5m above the external ground level. This is probably the remains of a ringfort.
