Na Huláin Thiar holds a man-made underground passage in the centre of its ringfort, where a hollow ground suggests a collapsed chamber. The passage may have been a hidden room, a sacred well, or a refuge for people who needed to disappear when danger came. Its shape is gone, but the hole remains, waiting for someone to imagine what it swallowed.
