Three chambers of dry stone appeared in Lohercannan in 1957, sharp-edged and deliberate beneath the ordinary ground. They joined an older line of hidden rooms, since another passage emerged near a local rath in 1928. The area therefore holds more than one buried threshold, though the exact spot of the later chamber has slipped from modern sight.

The precise location of a Man-made underground passage in the townland of Lohercannon listed by Waddell (1970, 17) has not been identified. Described by Waddell (1970, 17) as a 'three-chambered Man-made underground passage of dry-masonry construction found in 1957.
