Man-made underground passage in Kilduff (corkaguiny By.)

This Man-made underground passage is situated on a fairly steep S facing slope overlooking the narrow E-W valley that lies between Flemingstown Mountain to S and Knocknakilton to N. The collapse of a roof slab at the S end of a drystone-built passage permits only minimal inspection as the slab has lodged upright across the opening and prohibits access. Though noted by Ashe (1954, 22), he provided no details and the extent of the Man-made underground passage is not known. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
