Inchinagotagh, County Cork, Ireland: A man-made underground passage with a single stone-built chamber and entrance shaft appeared during sand quarrying in 1969, then vanished the same day. The chamber may have stored tools, hidden people, or marked a forgotten boundary, but no witness, measurement, or drawing survived the destruction. What remained was a hole in the ground and a story told later.
