Man-made underground passage in Glenmakee

Although marked 'Caves' on the 3rd edition of the OS 6-inch maps the site appears to consist of one Man-made underground passage with two openings. The first to the S is circular, 1.25m in diameter and extends 2.25m inwards. The second to the N is 1.5m × 0.5m and the entrance lintel has cupmarks on the underside. There are supposed to be three chambers opening off the main shaft. The site is located on rough rocky ground. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
