Former Altashane / Cabadooey Fairy Fort — Report the wrong picture

Cabadooey Fairy Fort vanished beneath Donegal pasture, leaving no stone or scar behind. It once held a single circular ring on a slight rise above a southern stream, but cultivation erased the boundary entirely. The forgootten shape may have marked a home, a boundary or a child's fantasy, yet the land itself forgot the distinction.

No trace is visible of the partially surviving single ringed circular enclosure shown on the OS 6-inch maps. It was situated on a slight rise in well cultivated undulating pasture land sloping sharply towards a stream to the S.
