Glaspistol holds a man-made underground passage near Castlecoo Hill, preserving the hidden shape of human effort beneath an ordinary Irish landscape. Local tradition still calls the site a cave, suggesting people once recognised the tunnel before modern surveying gave it a name. The passage may have served as shelter, storage or a quiet route through difficult terrain, while uncertainty keeps its exact purpose alive.
