Under the levelled ringfort in Glanturkin, a narrow earth-cut passage curves nineteen metres through darkness, its western end widening into a small chamber. Blocked branches reach north, east, northeast and northwest, suggesting a hidden hub where several tunnels met. The collapse and tight spaces imply people crawled through here deliberately, perhaps to store things, hide during storm or danger, or reach a central pit no longer visible above.

In centre of levelled ringfort (CO100-01001-). Discovered in 1982 and surveyed by R.M Cleary. Man-made underground passage earth-cut with much collapse. Only long creepway (L 19m; Wth 0.5m - 1m), curving round from E-W, could be explored. W end of this expanded to 1.5m in width and may be considered a chamber. Blocked creepways lead N and E from this. Further S and SE along main creepway are two more creepways leading NE and NW. At E end of main creepway further creepway turned sharply inwards and upwards towards groundlevel. Cleary suggests that all creepways, except extreme N, led into a central construction pit (Cleary, R.M. pers. comm.). No visible surface trace.
