Drumloman rath in County Cavan holds a rectangular waterlogged depression eight and a half metres long inside its northeast bank. The shape suggests people cut or dug a passage beneath the earth, perhaps to hide, move or exclude others when storms came. The clay still remembers the weight of hands and the patience needed to carve darkness into living ground.

At Drumloman rath (CV031-034002-) roughly rectangular, partially waterlogged depression (L 8.5m; Wth 4.9m; D 0.35m) inside the bank at NE, may mark the site of a Man-made underground passage.
