What is recorded here
Situated in the grass margin between the old and new public road, c. 30m SSE of ringfort (WM025-082----) and c. 40m SW of ringfort (WM025-083----). Monument described in 1971 as a ‘cave’ that was found near a ringfort (WM025-082----) when realigning the public road (local information). According to Glasscock (1974, 230) a Man-made underground passage was found during the construction of a new portion of road near the two ringforts with which it was probably associated. It is described as ‘an entrance, now blocked with boulder, near to the small roadside quarry.’
