Seven ringforts circle the valley like guards, yet no story names the buried passage beneath them. Its narrow drystone throat still points NNW through the slope, waiting for a hand to clear the final inches of soil. The absence of legend does not diminish the chamber; it withholds its name, not its existence.

This Man-made underground passage is located on the steep SE facing slopes of a small valley that extends SW from Glenfais. Though there is no tradition of any associated monument, 7 ringforts occur within 600m of the site. A single lintel is visible on the surface but the passage, extending at least 3m to NNW, is filled in to within .25m of its roof and is therefore inaccessible. The passage, .7m wide at roof level, is constructed of drystone masonry and roofed by a series of large flat slabs. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
