What is recorded here
Ballylongane is a man-made underground passage in County Kerry, Ireland, marked as a cave in the SE corner of a fortification on the 1916 OS map. It may be a hidden passage rather than a natural cave, built into the fortification to serve the people who lived there. The exact purpose and extent remain unknown, but the marking suggests the hole was known locally before surveyors drew it.
Marked as 'Cave' on the 1916 OS map in the SE corner of a fortification (KE014-054----). This is possibly the location of a Man-made underground passage.
