Ballingarry Castle names a 17th century tower at the south end of a promontory fort in County Kerry, beside two hidden trenches. The castle may have worn many shapes before becoming a tower, yet the trenches still hide beneath the land like forgotten rooms.

The name Ballingarry Castle was attached to the 17th century tower (KE008-006006-) at the SE end of the two subterranean trenches (see KE008-006004-; KE008-006005-). According to Toal (1995, 281-82, no. 1000) Ballingarry Castle is located at the S end of the promontory fort (KE008-006001-). Compiled by: Elizabeth Byrne Date of upload: 22 August 2013
