Man-made underground passage in An Luachair

Situated in gently sloping pastureland on the lower S slopes of Knocknakilton overlooking the Emlagh river valley, the 'splendid' Man-made underground passage noted by Ashe (1954, 29) is no longer accessible. A single roofslab is visible on the surface but no details of the size or layout of the monument are available. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
