An Drom Réidh is a ringfort in West Cork where a stone-filled depression in the northwest quadrant marks a forgotten underground passage. The hole is no longer open, but its shape still records the moment human hands cut through solid earth to build a hidden route. Perhaps people walked beneath the fort during storms or kept valuable things from hungry hands. The stones dropped back into the darkness, yet the dip remains as a shadow of that clever choice.
