Quarry recorded a six-foot cavern and narrower passage beside the ringfort in 1896. Only a small ground opening remains, blocked or lost beneath the soil. The passage may have served the fort as a cellar, hiding place or water route, but no one can walk it now.

In or beside possible ringfort (CO050-125001-). Quarry (1896, 384) mentioned a cavern which 'extends at least six feet', beyond which is a smaller passage.
