What is recorded here

No visible trace remains, but the lost passage still angles north-south beneath Galway, with a narrow eastward gallery branching halfway along. It is the kind of place where human hands shaped darkness into a route, perhaps for hiding, ritual or simply the pleasure of going through earth rather than over it.

Within a rath (GA082-010----). Rynne (1990) records that it 'consisted of a passage running roughly north-south with a short crawl into a fairly long gallery running eastwards from about halfway along its length'.
