Maen Castle is a 15th-century moated castle near St Mawes in Cornwall, associated with the influential Arundell family, who were prominent in Cornish politics and played a key role in the region's military and administrative history. The site is important as a rare example of a medieval moated manor house and reflects the defensive and social structures of late medieval Cornwall.
