What is recorded here
Walled garden, extant 1840, on a rectangular plan with part creeper- or ivy-covered coursed rubble stone boundary wall to perimeter having overgrown coping; yellow brick irregular bond surface finish to courtyard elevations. Now disused. Set in grounds originally shared with Mac Murrough House.
A substantial, albeit neglected walled garden surviving as an interesting relic of the Mac Murrough House estate following the demolition (1946) of the eponymous country house (1813; occupied 1911; sold 1922).
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
