Corner-sited end-of-terrace six-bay three-storey house, built c.1890, with recent flat-roofed attic projection and shopfront (north elevation). Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystacks, artificial slate attic projection and cast-iron rainwater goods. Painted rendered walls with render corbels to eaves and render sill courses. Square-headed openings to second floor with two-over-two timber sliding sash windows. Round-headed openings to first floor having one-over-one timber sliding sash windows with moulded render archivolts and continuous impost course. Segmental-headed openings to ground floor with one-over-one timber sliding sash windows, moulded rendered surrounds and painted rendered sills with cast- and wrought-iron sill guards. Carved timber shopfront comprising pilasters supporting scroll bracketed capitals with decorative pediment motif and fascia board with raised lettering. Square-headed opening with timber fixed pane display windows. Square-headed door opening with overlight and timber panelled door. Square-headed door opening to north elevation with timber panelled door and moulded render surround. Cast-iron column and early shop layout visible to interior.

A finely executed Victorian elevation exhibiting well-crafted decorative detailing most notably the variety of window openings, all of which retain early timber sliding sash windows. The fine workmanship displayed in its façade attests to the importance and affluence of the town during the nineteenth century. The shopfront and interior remain largely intact and are pleasing examples of their type. Located on the square, near the west entrance to Bantry, this prominently sited building contributes positively to the streetscape and architectural heritage of the town.
