Square-headed window openings having tooled limestone sills, brick surrounds and timber sliding sash windows, nine-over-six pane to front elevation and double six-over-four pane timber sliding sash window to west elevation, and replacement timber windows elsewhere. Square-headed door opening having timber panelled double-leaf door with overlight. Decorative wrought-iron gate attached to south-west corner leading to yard to rear.
This gate lodge is notable for its cohesive and well-ordered design. The gates are well-executed and add further interest to the site. This gate lodge forms part of a significant group of related structures with the buildings of Longueville House demesne, and is similar in design to a second lodge to the west.
