What is recorded here

On a knoll towards the N edge of the Rathcroghan plateau, and enclosed within a farmyard. Described as an earthen mound (diam. c. 7m; H c. 0.9m) separated by a fosse from an earthen bank (Wth c. 1.8m) with traces of an outer fosse (max. ext. diam. c. 18m) (Knox 1911, 234-5). It is now a circular scrub-covered mound (diam. c. 14m E-W; c. 13m N-S; H c. 1m) confined by silage pits and animal pens excavated into the ground around it to the W and N (D c. 1.5m) and with a laneway to the E. Rathmore (RO022-056-017-) is c. 160m to the ENE, and ring-barrow (RO021-042004-) is c. 250m to the W.
