Lissaniska

In pasture, on W-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 30m) defined by earthen bank (int. H 0.4m) to N with external fosse (D 0.7m); low rise elsewhere. Lissaniska, Glenleigh is a circular earthen ringfort, likely dating to the early medieval period, characterized by a bank and external fosse, with part of the northern bank integrated into a modern field fence. Local tradition associates such sites with fairy lore, and they were often considered sacred or inhabited by otherworldly beings in Irish folklore.
