Situated at the base of a NE-facing slope in gently-rolling pasture with good views in all directions, immediately NW of a field boundary which curves around the S and E edges of the site. Named on 1923 OS 6-inch map as 'Lisnagroagh'. The monument consists of a roughly circular area (21m NW-SE; 17.9m NE-SW) defined by a scarped edge (Wth 4.4 - 6.5m; H 0.9m), with an external fosse (Wth 3.5m; D 0.3m) evident from S to N and possibly in NNE. The interior slopes slightly down to the NE.
