In pasture, on S-facing slope. Oval raised area (40.5m N-S; 35.5m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.5m; ext. H 1.25m); external fosse (D 0.6m). Bank quarried away to ENE; inner face of bank slopes gently down towards centre of interior, giving saucer-shaped profile. Entrance (Wth 4m) to SE. Fosse quarried into NNE->E; shallow E->SSW; overgrown and survives best SSW->NNE. Slight linear depression crosses interior on NW-SE axis. Depression surrounded by spoil heaps exists inside SSW bank. Field boundary skirts enclosure S->N. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 515) as double-ramparted fort in E. Guerin's 'called Lios Na gColl - Fort of the Hazels', with about one-third of outer rampart still standing.
