On gentle W-facing slope, commanding extensive view to W and NW across River Lee. Arc (C c. 40m) ESE->SW, formed by scarp (H 2m), defines platform at N end of rectangular graveyard (CO082-021001-). According to O'Donoghue (1986, 249), site of 'ringfort called Lisheenacluvane - Lisin a' Chlumhain (little fort of the hairy man)'. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
