Two-arch rubble limestone road bridge over river, c.1875, possibly incorporating fabric of earlier bridge, pre-1840, on site. Random rubble limestone walls with cut-limestone triangular cut-water to pier, and rendered rounded coping to parapets. Pair of round arches with tooled cut-limestone voussoirs, and rubble limestone soffits. Sited spanning Munster River.

A picturesque small-scale bridge representing an element of the mid to late nineteenth-century civil engineering legacy of County Kilkenny. Integrating pleasantly into the surrounding rural landscape on account of the construction in unrefined limestone a number of dressed stone details enhance the architectural design value of the composition. Making a positive, if subtle impact in the locality the bridge is identified by the elegantly humped profile of the deck.
