In grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (N-S 25.6m, E-W 23.5m) defined by a scarp. Extensive quarrying has occurred from ESE through S to W. Lisbaun, Gortarica is a poorly preserved, subcircular early-medieval ringfort, likely dating to between the 5th and 10th centuries AD. Local folklore, though not detailed in records, may associate such sites with fairy legends common in Irish tradition, given the name "Lisbaun," which may derive from "baun" (a term linked to supernatural beings).
