What is recorded here
Lee (1966, 23) speculates that there was a medieval hospital in the townland of Palmer's-Hill, immediately N of Cashel. Placenames with 'Palmer' as an element are associated with leper hospitals (ibid., 20). The hospital may have been under the jurisdiction of the Hospitaller Order of St. Lazarus of Jersulem (ibid., 23). This hospital is unlocated within Palmer's-Hill townland.
