Linked to a local tradition of healing and fertility, the Ladys Well, Toberleheen was one of four holy wells believed to be dedicated to the Virgin Mary, with customs involving the collection of water for blessings and the tying of rags for wishes or ailments. The site, now marked only by a hawthorn bush, reflects a broader Irish tradition of sacred wells associated with female saints or Marian devotion.

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
