Graveyard

What is recorded here

On a low but moderately steep-sided pasture ridge. A roughly D-shaped area (c. 36m E-W) with a straight E side (L c. 26m) is enclosed by a low modern, mortared stone wall. The interior is generally higher (H 1m) than the surrounding ground, except between WSW and WNW where it is level with the outer ground. The interior is covered in long grass with the N-third having a lot of nettle growth. Traces of a ruined church (KD032-031----) are visible in the N sector, and legible gravemarkers date to the 18th-century. Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy Date of upload: 29 October 2013
