Explorer Tom Graveyard in Kinure sits on the side of Oyster Haven. Earliest stone is 1771, so it's seen a few things. The church ruins are right in the middle. It's got a bit of a dramatic vibe going on.

Walton CourtCountry house · 394 yd

Explorer Tom Walton Court was built by smugglers who got rich off stolen goods, so the walls are definitely still salty. Perfect spot to pretend you found a bottle of rum in the garden.

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in NewboroughFairy fort / earthen ringfort · 1080 ydComputer-made picture

Explorer Tom Newborough’s oval ringfort is sitting on a slope like it’s waiting for a bus that never comes. The bank is high enough to keep the rain off its shoulders. Go in good boots and better humour.

Explorer Tom Post box in Annefield is standing its ground with some serious P&T insignia. Erected around 1940, this cast-iron champ is all about that rural communications link simplicity. Give it a cheeky wave and a photo for me!

Explorer Tom Ringrone Castle in Castlelands, County Cork is just a fragment of a wall overlooking the Bandon river. Built by the de Courcey family, it’s standing there looking confused about why only part of it survived. Wave to the river mouth for me, it likes attention!

Ringrone CastleCastle · 4.0 mi

Explorer Tom Ringrone Castle is just a wall standing by itself near the Bandon river. Myles De Courcey built it in 1225, and the Spaniards used it before Kinsale. It’s not much left, but it’s still got that de Courcy attitude. Wave at the wall!
