Double-arch limestone road bridge over River Blackwater, built c. 1830, with segmental arches, that to middle being wider and flatter. Coursed rubble stone walls with some render having tooled limestone string course to each elevation above arch level. Tooled voussoirs to arches. Parapet walls have render copings and terminate in square-plan piers. U-cutwaters to both sides.

This bridge is a key element of the history of Ballydesmond, previously Kingwilliamstown, as the town was planned in the early 1800s to service the government-sponsored road of which this bridge forms part. The structure is a testament to the quality of local engineering and craftsmanship and incorporates many interesting features such as U-cutwaters and tooled stone voussoirs.
