Located at the base of the N-facing slope of Rathcroghan, and c. 70m E of the line of the road (RO022-056002-). Archaeological testing (09E0569) of a large field (dims c. 400m N-S; c. 100-150m E-W) produced evidence of a keyhole-shaped kiln consisting of a stone-lined bowl (ext. diam. 1.4m) with a flue (L 1.4m; Wth 0.35m) extending to the W. (Doyle 2010b; Doyle 2012a)
