What is recorded here

Excavated in 2002 (licence no. 02E0296), the monument consisted of a sub-circular bowl (0.26m deep) with a shallow curvilinear flue cut into the natural subsoil. Three fills indicated at least three episodes of use, and each produced carbonised barley grains. Two small fragments of baked clay, two angular flint fragments and a bipolar flake were recovered from the bowl. Comparable kilns have been dated to the Early Bronze Age (Byrnes 2002, 7).
