Freestanding coursed rubble limestone lime kiln, built c.1800, having square plan, with segmental arch to front elevation with dressed limestone voussoirs, and with splayed jambs to fire box aperture. Dressed limestone quoins to corners. Set in open field and built into hill slope.
This lime kiln is a physical reminder of the industrial heritage of Colmanstown. The survival of its original form and fabric makes it a valuable contribution to the architectural heritage of the area.
