What is recorded here

Detached limekiln, erected c. 1860, now disused. Coursed stepped concrete walls, with crenellated parapet to front and having round-arched opening to base of kiln.
This kiln is notable for its large size, and is unusual for its concrete construction and the decorative treatment in the form of crenellations. This functional structure forms a striking silhouette in the landscape.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
