Watermill depicted on a map of Kilmallock town dating from c. 1600 (TCD, MS 1209/62). On this map a watermill is shown standing on the W bank of the River Loobagh to the NE of the NE corner of the walled town of Kilmallock (LI047-022----). Kilmallock Mill depicted on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map is shown standing on the site of or in cose proximity to the watermill shown on the town map of Kilmallock dating from c. 1600. A second watermill (LI047-022069-) is shown on this map standing opposite on the E bank of the River Loobagh.
