Portico has rendered columns with moulded bases on square-profile bases, supporting flat roof having render architrave with moulded frieze and cornice. Square-headed door openings to east and west elevations with timber panelled doors and overlights, that to east recessed with timber panelled reveals. Glasshouse has square-headed door opening with timber panelled half-glazed door.
Designed by J. J. Bowen, the form and design of this house are characteristic of houses of the time in Ireland, the double gable front and bay windows are typical elements. It retains notable features such as the slate roof and timber sash windows, as well as more decorative elements such as the bargeboards, portico, cornices and sill courses, which enhance and enliven the façade. The recessed door to the side is an unusual feature, as is its panelled reveal.
