Killine Burial Ground in County Carlow is a disused ringfort re-used for burials. Half of its low circular platform still stands, about twenty metres across and half a metre high, with faint traces of a bank and an external fosse. It has no wall, no building remains and no headstones, only the quiet shape of a fort that later became a grave.

In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Approximately half of low circular platform (diam.s c. 20m; H 0.5m) with traces of bank with external fosse. Unenclosed. No trace of structure or headstones. Appears to be a ringfort, apparently re-used for burials.

A portal dolmen dating to the Neolithic period; it represents an early form of megalithic tomb construction significant for understanding prehistoric funerary practices in Ireland.
