What is recorded here
Killee Church has vanished completely, leaving no wall, stone or marker behind. It exists only inside a graveyard entry, pushed out of sight by time or human choice. What remains is a hole in the landscape where a building should stand, forcing imagination to fill the absence.
No visible surface trace of church. This church is mentioned in the Inventory entry for the graveyard (CO019-013001-).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
