Kildoney Glebe Fairy Fort — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Thirty metres across on good Donegal soil, the earthen bank still marks a home someone shaped before written memory. It sits slightly raised in a sheltered place, dipping inward like a cupped hand, and that shape suggests people lived there rather than passing by. The fairy fort name may be later folklore, but the cut bank and chosen ground point to a real household that wanted warmth, safety and a place to return.

Internal diam. c. 30m. A large circular enclosure formed by an earthen bank. The site is slightly raised above the surrounding land but there is a dip towards the centre. It is located on good land in a sheltered area. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
