John Gerard Noonan

John Gerard Noonan was born in County Limerick, Ireland, on February 26, 1951, the son of John Noonan and Margaret Purcell. He left that place at eighteen to cross into New York and later Miami, carrying a young Irish life into American churches until he became Bishop of Orlando. The town gave him name and beginning; distance turned that beginning into a life lived elsewhere.
