Inveraray Castle Estate, Aray Bridge, was built in the 18th century as part of the Inveraray Castle estate, which was developed by the Campbell family, Earls and later Dukes of Argyll. The bridge and associated structures are important as they reflect the expansion of the estate and the influence of the Campbells in the region during the Scottish Enlightenment period.
