What is recorded here
On a gentle, W-facing slope in improved pasture. Not recorded on the 1st ed. (1838) of the OS 6-inch map, but shown on the latest ed. (1939) as a dashed line defining a semi-circular area (est. diam c. 35m NE-SW) NE-E-SW on the SE side of a field boundary. When visited in 1987, the field boundary had been levelled and there was no visible surface trace of the associated feature to its SE (SMR file).
