What is recorded here

Indicated is a grass-covered stone ringfort on a NE-facing slope in County Leitrim, its circular wall broken only where a rectangular extension joins the ancient curve. Local tradition claims a children's burial ground sleeps inside, though no marker or pit has ever appeared to prove it. The fort may have been a home, a refuge or a boundary marker before memory faded, but the unmarked ground still invites wondering about the small lives it may have hidden.

On the NE-facing slope of a small rise. Grass-covered circular area (int. diam. c. 45m) defined by a drystone wall (Wth c. 2m; H c. 1.5m), except NE-SE where the perimeter has been removed and a rectangular extension (dims c. 30m N-S; c. 10m E-W) defined by a drystone wall, added. There is a modern entrance (Wth c. 3m) at W. There is a local tradition of a children's burial ground in the interior (OS Name Book No. 84, 585), but no visible evidence of one.
