Built against natural slope. Random-rubble limestone walls encase core of kiln. Front elevation (H c. 5.5m) has arched recess of cut stone with second lower inner arch, rear of recess collapsed. Base of brick-lined funnel (diam. c. 2.25m) has collapsed. Overgrown earthen ramp to rear. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
