Marked on 1841 edition of the OS 6-inch map. Situated on N side of a natural ridge running E-W. An oval area defined by a slight scarp at N. No other visible surface remains. Reference to rath here (O'Hanlon and O'Leary 1907, vol. 1, 289). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
